Sophomore Trinity Tomlinson capped off a tremendously successful track season in Austin this weekend competing in the Class 3A State Track Meet. She opened the day on Friday competing in the high jump and came away a State Champion. After eliminating all but three of her competitors, Trinity was the only one of the three to clear 5’5″. After securing the gold medal, Trinity then cleared 5’6″ and 5’7″ to tie her all time best height. Tomlinson finished the 2017 State Track Meet with a silver medal in the high jump as a freshman and would not be denied this season. She is the first state champion in track from Early in many years. Trinity then competed in the 100m Hurdles, posting a personal best time of 15.09 and finishing in a closely contested fourth place. Second, third and fourth places were separated by a mere 3/100 of a second. Great job Trinity and congratulations on being the best in the STATE!
